Aggreko plc is the international leader in the rental of power, temperature control and oil-free compressed air systems. The company is headquartered in Glasgow and has more than 2,000 employees operating from over 100 locations in 28 countries.
The Brief:
To develop a series of multi-language websites to support and develop sales across the world. The brief was to present a clear, simplified view of the Aggreko solutions, creating a standardised information architecture that could be applied to all 19 websites worldwide.
The Solution:
The new website has been built using the Immediacy content management system. A substantial part of the project was dedicated to understanding Aggreko’s business objectives for the website, the company’s product strengths and its target audiences. Initial navigation and wires frames were tested with end users both internally at Aggreko.
Since the launch of the new corporate website Innovation Digital has continued to work closely with Aggreko to provide a range of services including online marketing planning and implementation, Immediacy training for users worldwide, and user training in search engine optimisation and web copywriting.
The results:
The Aggreko corporate website launched in September 2007. In the 9 months since this time a further 18 multi-language websites have gone live, each employing the standard templates and information architecture of the corporate site.
