From 1st April 2009, Gas Safe Register replaced the CORGI gas registration scheme in Great Britain and the Isle of Man. The register exists to protect UK consumers and properties from dangerous gas work. Innovation Digital has been working closely with Capita, the UK's leading outsourcing company to deliver the official consumer website for the Gas Safe Register.
The website, which launched on the 1st April to coincide with the official brand launch, was developed on Alterian's Immediacy Web Content Management System (WCMS) v6.1. The site integrates with a database of registered gas engineers and businesses enabling consumers to check for suitable suppliers in their area. Consumers can also learn more about gas safety and share their experiences with others. Innovation Digital worked closely with Capita to successfully manage and build the technical deliverable of the project, adhering to strict timescales and budget.
The website is one of many platforms designed to raise awareness and inform consumers about the new Gas Safe Register in the UK. The new brand is being actively publicised throughout the country across National TV, National Newspaper, Billboard and Radio.
The new website and delivery of service has been very positively received by Capita’s web team. We look forward to continuing to support Capita in the foreseeable future with the Gas Safe Register website.
