European Circuits is one of the UK’s leading printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturers. Specialising in low to medium volume markets, European Circuits offers a range of services from PCB design and manufacture, electronics assembly, box build and testing and inspection. Based in Clydebank, European Circuits is one of only two printed circuit board manufacturers in Scotland.

Requirements
European Circuits asked Innovation Digital to redesign their corporate website with a view to increasing the number of service enquiries. The new site had to be strategically aligned with European Circuit’s brand and ongoing marketing campaigns.

The core objective of the website was to improve the number of quality leads, enhance the user journey and provide a good return-on-investment.

European Circuits wanted the website to have a fresh, modern feel, whilst maintaining a professional tone. It was important for them to be able to manage all aspects of the site to ensure it remained up-to-date with the latest news, case studies and testimonials.

Solution
After a detailed requirements gathering and user centred design process, Innovation Digital developed the website using the Umbraco Content Management System. The website offered a number of advanced features such as an interactive slide show, events blog, customer quotation section, social media and Google map /analytics integration. In order to ensure prominence on the search engines, Search Engine Optimisation activities were provided.

European Circuits received training on the Umbraco content management system (CMS) and were also trained on Google Analytics, Web Copywriting and SEO. These were deemed important aspects of the ongoing success and management of the website. Indeed, it was Innovation Digital’s approach to knowledge transfer which was one of the main reasons for selection.
