Innovation Digital and partner Clyde Waterfront recently celebrated the launch of the new Clyde Waterfront Heritage website at a high profile launch along Glasgow’s River Clyde. The website and associated heritage guide are part of a major new initiative by the Clyde Waterfront Partnership designed to attract visitors to discover the history of the River Clyde.
Mirroring the two faces of the River Clyde; old and new, the initiative is being promoted in a large public ad-campaign which bears the catchline ‘There are two Clydes to every story’. This poster campaign features photos of Clyde landmarks such as the People’s Palace, Titan Crane, Xscape and the Science Centre. The advertising is placed in busy public areas across the city and features billboard advertising and posters on public transport. The goal is to encourage more Scots to visit the attractions on their doorstep. Launched in the year of Homecoming Scotland, the Clyde Waterfront partners also believe there is huge potential to draw visitors from further afield to the Clyde.
Developed by Innovation Digital on our in-house content management system (CMS), the website features information on the latest developments along the Clyde from Glasgow Green to Dumbarton, stunning photography and video footage. It is the latest extension to the Clyde Waterfront website portfolio which includes the main Clyde Waterfront site and Clyde Waterfront Education, an educational resource for teachers and a means of connecting young people with the exciting riverside developments. Staff at Innovation Digital continue to work with Clyde Waterfront to maintain the website content, email marketing and online marketing activities.
The site has been very positively received by Clyde Waterfront and feedback from the public has been very encouraging. The website provides an interesting reference point for the public to find out about heritage of the River Clyde and learn all about the exciting new developments.
