Heuristic Evaluations - An Expert Review

Innovation Digital's usability consultants can perform an expert heuristic review to check the performance and usability of your website, intranet, software or mobile application.

Our usability consultants can highlight and report on problems with your application allowing you to quickly address and change the issues.  Expert usability reviews are carried out by our experienced consultants and offer a quicker and cheaper alternative to carrying out full usability testing.

Our process
Our consultants will set up an initial meeting with your stakeholders to get an overview of your business, typical users, and key tasks.

We would then walk through the site, and note any potential issues with the design, navigation, information architecture and usability of the site. We would draw on our consultant's expert knowledge of website usability to highlight any areas of concern, bottlenecks or 'Bounce Zones'.  We would provide proactive recommendations on how to address them.

Deliverables
Upon completion of the review, we would provide a high-level usability report. This could also be presented in an oral format to a work group or stakeholder group with subsequent discussions around the best way forward. This is especially useful when organisations need stakeholder buy in or drivers for change.

It is important to note that while an expert review can identify many problems with your website usability testing offers a far more robust analysis into your customers' needs and directly tests the effectiveness of your website with representative customers.
