A scalable site for an iconic drinks brand.
When A.G. Barr asked us to redevelop their corporate site, they had a clear vision for what they wanted; a well rounded, scaleable website that showcased all of their key brands and clearly presented the information their users wanted.
AG Barr wanted to realign their corporate site to the needs of their users. They were looking to portray the organisation as a modern, innovative company who is trusted, well established and a great company to work for. Finally, they were looking to showcase how they were a highly successful business with a strong sense of social responsibility to its shareholders, staff, customers and consumers.
They were also looking for a solution that focused on all their brands rather than one and offered a scalable CMS that allowed AG Barr to add brands without wholesale changes to the site.
After a requirements analysis phase, we created a series of user personas to outline and categorise the main visitors to the site this included: The Interested Investors, The Determined Doers, The Fact Finders, The Brand Junkies.
Using these personas, we then mapped out the key user journeys and the information they would require to find the site useful. From this, an IA was developed, followed by a design which was “brand friendly” to all the distinct products within the AG Barr portfolio.
Finally, the design was developed a series of responsive templates that were integrated into the latest version of Umbraco, this allowed for a seamless experience across all devices. We integrated their third party SharePrice solution so that the site would show live share prices for those interested. Alongside this, we create a filterable timeline to showcase their heritage and dedicated careers area with vacancy listings and application functionality.
